The
countless works the Porta company carried out in the caprese
territory stand, by themselves, as a perfect example of how
through great versatility and professional commitment it is
still possible to build in full observance of the caprese
style.
During the 50s and 60s, when urbanistic laws still allowed it,
the most beautiful villas as well as charming hotels and
buildings meant for public departments and business activities
were built in the most important areas of the island. Later
on, in order to preserve
the caprese territory, the laws became more restrictive so
that the Porta company specialized in the recovery of the
existing real estate. This was achieved through restructures,
restorations, renewal and qualifying works, both conservative
and renovating.
